About

The Craft Club is run by Eleanor, a mother of four children and a life long crafter. Eleanor is a seamstress, artisan cake decorator and is renowned for her crochet designs both here and in the UK. Eleanor has a passion for introducing craft into everyone's life.

Children's Clubs: We believe in introducing children to the joy of using everyday items and repurposing the materials found around them. Our craft clubs introduce children to a range of materials and skills as a foundation for lifelong crafting, building confidence and boosting their enjoyment of their own creative abilities.

Children enjoy being creative from a very early age. Sadly, as they get older, many children lose confidence in their abilities and compare themselves unfavourably with others. We teach children to use the strengths they have in a way which produces results which amaze them. Every child can produce quality crafted items and seeing how they translate their own abilities and passions into something they are proud of is a joy to behold.

Our clubs give children ample time to craft and create, relax, have fun and burn off energy. Crafting sessions are geared to children's needs - sometimes they need to be busy and noisy, sometimes they need a quiet space - every session will have a bit of everything.

Our Children's Camps all qualify towards Tax Credits on your Tax Return.

Craft Club Camps are run in our beautiful period home on East Victoria Street in Amherst. Our light and airy specially equipped craft studio is on the top floor and is full of craft products to fulfil every crafting wish. A large casual seating area enables our crafters to relax and chat between sessions and when having a snack. Weather permitting, some craft sessions are outside to allow us to incorporate the natural world more fully into our camps. Top quality materials are provided for you or your child, from feathers to fabric, pillows to paints - everything for a masterpiece!

'Grown up' Crafting

Many adults re-discover the joy of crafting as their children grow up and they find more time or make more time for themselves.

Now is the time to try something new in a patient and encouraging environment. You do not need to be 'arty', you just need to be open-minded. At Craft Club we help you find how to use the skills you have, nurture them and give you confidence to pursue something creative for the joy of doing it.

Why not try a workshop and surprise family and friends (and yourself) with a fabulous Christmas cake or hand-made presents this year. See 'Classes' for more details.
